Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2022 Ford Mustang comes in a range of trim level options: the EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT Fastback, Mach 1, Mach 1 Premium, and Shelby GT500. The EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, and GT Premium all have the option between a fastback or convertible rooftop. The new Mustang offers 18 wheel styles. For a more track-inspired look, choose the Mach 1 to get hood and side stripes and a more angular lower front fascia for improved aerodynamics. Choose from the Mustang's many appearance packages to customize your muscle car to better fit your style.

Engine (Power)

The 2022 Mustang starts its engine lineup with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 330 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The Mustang GT gets a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers up to 450 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The Mach 1 gets 470 horsepower out of this engine. Then there's the Shelby GT500's 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine, which produces 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque. These engines are connected to a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Mustang gets up to 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

Performance

Naturally, the 2022 Mustang offers a range of performance-enhancing features that lets you create the perfect muscle car for you. The GT Performance Package gives the Mustang GT powerful Brembo brakes, a larger rear sway bar, and more. The EcoBoost Handling Package adds the MagneRide damping system for an improving riding experience that quickly adjusts to changes in the road. The Mustang's other performance features include a launch control system, active valve performance exhaust, paddle shifters, heat exchangers, and more. The Mustang also offers selectable drive modes to let you choose the type of experience you're looking for at any given time.

Interior

The Mustang's Americana-inspired style extends to its cabin. Opt for the available heated steering wheel and the heated and cooled front seats to keep your comfort during the winter. The EcoBoost Premium offers leather-appointed upholstery, as well as an ambient cabin-lighting system and an improved nine-speaker audio system. The Mustang comes standard with a 4.2-inch central screen that offers a Wi-Fi hot spot. At the EcoBoost Premium trim level, this screen is replaced by an 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Safety Features

The 2022 Ford Mustang improves your safety in traffic through Ford Co-Pilot360 technologies. Each model utilizes Ford's Blind Spot Information System, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, a lane-keeping system, and more.
