Trim Levels (Exterior)

You'll find many different trims when shopping for your 2022 Ford F-150. These increase in price and features starting with the base XL trim, then moving up to the XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor trims. These trims come with 17-inch aluminum tires that are available for upgrade or larger sizes if needed. While the XL and XLT have halogen lights, the higher trims all offer LED headlights and taillights. Engine (Power)

You can select from several engine types for the F-150. For a basic engine, you might choose the 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine that puts out 290 horsepower. Others you might choose from include the 5-liter V-8, a 2.7-liter V-6, a 3.5-liter V-6, and a 3.0-liter diesel V-6. The 5-liter V-8 and the 3.5-liter V-6 have the highest horsepower at 400. The 2.7- and 3.5-liter V-6s are twin-turbocharged for extra power and handling.

Performance

The Ford F-150 can handle different terrains and tow trailers or other vehicles with ease. There are several driving modes—including Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, and Trail—that adjust configurations to adapt to different terrains or weather conditions. You can also carry 1,840 to 3,250 pounds depending on the engine type. The 5.0-liter eight-cylinder engine can tow up to 13,000 pounds. You can add Pro Power Onboard to different trims to use your truck as a generate an output up to 7.2 kilowatts of energy.

Interior

The cabin in the F-150 can seat three to six people depending on the cabin you choose. The truck's cabin has several features like dual-zone climate control and heated seats in the higher trims that can help you stay comfortable through the seasons. You'll also find key technology features standard, like an 8-inch screen with a 12-inch upgrade available. With Ford's sync technology, you can connect your device to access weather and traffic alerts along with navigation. There's also a Wi-Fi hotspot to keep you connected even when off-roading. Cloth bucket seats are the standard for the XL and XLT, while higher trims have leather seats.

Safety Features

The F-150 comes with standard safety features like anti-lock brakes, curve control, and front and curtain airbags. Newer technology features include automatic braking, roll stability control, and automatic emergency braking.
