2022 FORD SUPERDUTY

2022 Ford SuperDuty Inventory - Koons Ford of Baltimore

The Ford SuperDuty lineup consists of three trucks, all are well-suited to seriously heavy-duty needs. The 2022 Ford SuperDuty gets a few essentials updates but refrains from changing things up too much. The 2022 SuperDuty makes a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display available, adds in paint options, and make some changes to certain trim features. The latest model year of the Ford SuperDuty continues the Ford SuperDuty legacy of rugged reliability while adding in a host of nifty modern improvements.

Safety features are impressive regardless of the trim selected, with all trims including SOS post crash alert, on/off headlights, and traditional safety equipment like seat belts and airbags. The XLT trim gains driver assistance features, including forward collision avoidance and blind spot monitoring. The Lariat trim includes the same set of driver assistance features as the XLT while also adding in rear parking sensors. The Platinum trim gains adaptive steering along with all the safety features that come with the Lariat.

PERFORMANCE

The Ford SuperDuty makes three engines available across its six-trim lineup. The base XL trim of the Ford SuperDuty comes equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that's capable of handling most any tough needs. The 6.2-liter V8 engine offers up 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque while pairing with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2-liter engine can be had in a rear-wheel drive configuration or an all-wheel drive variant. If you're interested in upping things in the performance realm, then the Ford SuperDuty makes a 7.3-liter V8 and a 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8 available. The 7.3-liter V8 gas engine makes 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque while working with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The sole diesel engine manages an impressive 450 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. The only engine that doesn't pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission is the base 6.2-liter V8, which works with a 6-speed automatic transmission. All engines can be had with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Additional performance features can be added via trims and packages. The King Ranch, for instance, makes all-wheel drive standard while also adding in 20-inch alloy wheels. The Platinum trim adds in adaptive steering. If you're looking to boost off-road performance, then the Tremor package and FX4 package are two options to consider.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology is about the same as with the F-150, which is great news regardless of your tech needs. The base XL trim of the Ford SuperDuty includes a 4.2-inch infotainment display, an AM/FM radio, USB ports, a four-speaker audio system, and in-vehicle Wi-Fi. The XLT improves on the base set of tech features by replacing the 4.2-inch display with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The XLT also gains smartphone connectivity thanks to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The Lariat SuperDuty outdoes the XLT by swapping out the 8-inch infotainment display with a 12-inch touchscreen display. The Ford SuperDuty Lariat also includes a Sync4 infotainment system and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system. The King Ranch includes the same set of tech as the Lariat but it adds in wireless charging.

The Lariat improves things overall by adding in leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The King Ranch touts serious power and interior luxury thanks to leather-trimmed seats, unique badging, a heated steering wheel, and heated/ventilated front seats.
