Super Duty Overview

F-250

The F-250 sits at the base of the Super Duty lineup, offering up serious towing and hauling capability along with dashingly versatile off-road functionality. The main difference between the F-250 and the rest of the Super Duty lineup comes down to the body frame and exterior options. The F-250 includes a regular cab and an 8-foot bed option while the F-350 and F-450 options add in a host of functionality boosts. The F-250 is available in six trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Maximum towing capacity with the F-250 tops out at 22,800 pounds when you add fifth wheel towing and a 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8 engine to the mix.

F-350

The Ford F-350 features a far longer list of configurations thanks to increased bed options and available dual rear wheels. The F-350 also offers up crew and super cab configurations to go along with a variety of bed options. The main differences might seem minimal, but they make a big difference in terms of hauling and towing numbers. The F-350 handily beats out the F-250 for towing capacity, managing a whopping 32,000 pounds of maximum towing capacity. Of course, that's when you include fifth wheel towing and the 6.7-liter diesel V8 engine.

F-450

Far and away the most powerful Super Duty model, the F-450 distinguishes itself from the rest of the lineup by adding in dual rear wheels. That's right, the F-450 offers up four wheels in the back! The F-450 manages the most in the way of towing capacity, boasting 37,000 pounds of maximum towing capability. It's also important to note that the F-450 comes standard with the 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8 engine, so you can enjoy the most power that the Super Duty lineup has to offer regardless of the trim selected.
